7gftgtvfgthubThe Mohawks of New York is a wonderful topic. They are proberly the biggest tribe of the iroquis, and often tought of as the main one. So their are a whole lot of information about them i will try to cram all of this information into this short six paragrapgh essay. This powerful group of iroquis settled near what is today Albany. They still have land their. Their reserves are very rich, i guess u can call them millionares the pic above me can explain why

srdsgsgdfgdThe Mohawk tribe was one of the five nations to make up the Iroquis Confederacy. They were considered expert farmers. The women were the ones who planted crops of corn, beans, squash, and certain wild berries. Mohawk men hunted for deer and elk. They also fished for food.The typical Mohawk meal included cornbread soups. They cooked these foods in stone hearths that they kept under a fire in their longhouses. Their are also alot of strange rumors that are about the Mohawk. One of which says that they ate their enimies after they killed them. From all of the information that i have compiled this rumor happens to be fact, although they stopped this as of around the time that the Iroquis Confederacy formed.
DGBRDGHGThe Mowhawk tribe is made up of three clans The Bear, The Wolf, and The Turtle. They all follow the same religions, but have some notable differances. The wars of the Mohawks seem to be of alot interest. They had an alliance with England while others fought the ''redcoats.'' Also during the war of 1812 the Mohawks fought against the United Colonies. Their weapons are greatly valuable as artifacts. They include everything from spears to bow and arrows to axes.
They were greatly feared at war because of the fact that they never showed any mercy. One thing that many people dont know about the Mohawk is that they are barbaric they used clubs which somehow resemles an oversized baseball bat.
DGHDHSGHTheir shelter included that of the most basic Iroquis, a longhouse. Inside these long houses [get it] the ceilings were high the houses were built like a hall to walk in the middle and places to sleep in the middleand a big fire to cook in the middle. This area is mostly forest many people visit their reserves today because of the fact that they include beautiful wildlife.

They did not side with the u.s. but today this is anything but the case. They own alot of casinos that make billions a year. So presently they are ''living large and in charge.'' Their traditions included various dancing they would dance for hours on end non stop. One of their various hobbies include games hunting and arts. they liked to paint and dance. they made women dress up in great dresses and dance for hours on end.
